Student Ministry

The teenage years are a major transitional stage in life.  Moving from childhood to adulthood is a major change; but, God uses times of change as opportunity for growth.  That's where the Student Ministry of Salem comes in - equipping students with the knowledge and resources they need to engage this world in the name of Jesus.  We believe students can change the world and as you look through this site, we hope you catch a glimpse of who we are.  We meet each week at 6:30pm for ROCK, our mid-week student worship service, where we learn how to do life together, what it means to follow Jesus, and how we can make a difference in the world for Him.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to volunteer to serve in the Student Ministry, please call the Student Ministry office at 770-957-4543 or email
Nathan Wood or Jason Housley.

Weekly Schedule
//ROCK
Each week students gather together for a worship service geared specifically toward them.  ROCK is a high-energy service that features great music, biblical teaching, games and time with friends.  See the schedule below and make plans to participate:
     Middle and High School Worship Service  Wednesdays / 6:30-7:30  in the ROCK House

//CORE Groups
These are age & gender specific small groups led by college students and adult leaders that focus on prayer, accountability, and discipleship.  Students are given devotionals that correspond to each week's Sunday School lessons.  For any visitor or student not currently in a CORE Group, you can meet Brian Smith (if you're a middle school student) or Gabe Walker (if you're a high school student) in the main welcome center at church to find your specific CORE group and get plugged in.
     Middle School CORE Groups : Sundays / 6:30-7:30pm
     High School CORE Groups : Sundays / 6:30-7:30pm

//Sunday School
Each Sunday we offer 2 options for Sunday School hours :  9:45am or 11am.   Graded classes are available for all students and features in-depth material from Student Life.  Each grade discusses different topics, including:  community, Christ, covenant, and character.  Click here to read the essential truths that we teach in Sunday School.
