Senior Adults
We believe that Senior Adults are mentors and encouragers to our younger congregation, helping them journey through life's experiences by imparting the wisdom they've learned along the way. Salem hosts an active and vibrant group of Senior Adults who participate in ministry to shut-ins, day trips, longer excursions in the Southeast, and quarterly covered dish luncheons. On Wednesday mornings, Senior Adults thoughout the community meet at 10:30am at Salem for a traditional morning worship service followed by lunch each week. The Senior Adult Ministry of Salem also hosts an Alzheimer's Support Group, led by specially trained professionals, every second Tuesday at 7pm.
The Singing Saints, under the direction of Roger Waters, is a group of senior adult men and women who desire to glorify God through singing, fellowship and ministry both within the church and throughout the community. The Singing Saints sing weekly at the 10:30am Wednesday Service and rehearse on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 1pm in the Choir Room.
