HOME Children's Ministry
It's about discovering a conscience, knowing what's right and wrong - based on what the Bible says. It's about believing that when you pray, God is listening. And it's about learning to love others because God first loved us.
Our Children's Ministry encompasses Bible Study, Royal Ambassadors (RA's), Girls in Action (GA's), Children's Choirs and Handbells. Bible Study is available for grades 1-5 each Sunday at 9:45am and 11am. Our classes are structured according to a child's developmental stages; therefore, we have one grade level per classroom. Our church believes in the importance of children worshipping with their parents, so we ask that you choose one hour for Bible Study and one hour for worship with your entire family.
Sunday evenings there there is a drama club for fourth and fifth graders at 6:00pm called Backstage. During the evening worship service at 6:30 the children have Studio 4:12. This is an hour of worship, fun and fellowship for all grade school age children.
Christian Classes are held on the first Sunday of each month during the 9:45 hour in room 242. The Becoming a Christian class is for Children who are asking question about becoming a Christian or getting baptized. It is recommended that children take this class before they get baptized. The New Christian Class is for children after they have made a profession of faith and have been baptized. Parents are welcome to attend these classes with their children.
The Children's Ministry also offers Bible Drill for Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Graders. Bible Drill is a ten-week program designed to equip children in the way to use their Bible. This involved learning and locating specific books and verses of the Bible. Participants memorize the books of the Bible, ten key passages, and 25 memory verses each year. Competition includes Church, Associational, and Regional drills.We offer a number of special events throughout the year specifically geared toward children and their families. These events include an Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival and Festival of Light.
