Student Ministry
The teenage years are a major transitional stage in life. Moving from childhood to adulthood is a major change; but, God uses times of change as opportunity for growth. That's where the Student Ministry of Salem comes in - equipping students with the knowledge and resources they need to engage this world in the name of Jesus. We believe students can change the world and as you look through this site, we hope you catch a glimpse of who we are. We meet each week at 6:15pm for ROCK, our mid-week student worship service, where we learn how to do life together, what it means to follow Jesus, and how we can make a difference in the world for Him.
If you have any questions, or if you would like to volunteer to serve in the Student Ministry, please call the Student Ministry office at 770-957-4543 or email Nathan Wood
Weekly Schedule
//ROCK
Each week students gather together for a worship service geared specifically toward them. ROCK is a high-energy service that features great music, biblical teaching, games and time with friends. See the schedule below and make plans to participate:
Middle and High School Worship Service Wednesdays / 6:30-7:45 in the ROCK House
//LIFE GROUPS
These are age & gender specific small groups led by adult leaders that focus on prayer, accountability, and discipleship. Students are given devotionals that correspond to each week's Life Group lessons. For any visitor or student not currently in a Life Group, you can meet Ryan Garrett or Nathan Wood in the main welcome center at church to find your specific Life group and get plugged in.
Life Groups meet on Sunday morning at 9:45am and 11:00am.
//ACTEENS
Acteens is a mission's organization for girls ages 11-17 or in grades 6-11. Acteens learn to look beyond themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry. The Southern Baptist Womens Minssionary Union is the organization responsible for the Acteens Curriculum. This year we are excited to be using a new curriculum recently developed by the WMU. This curriculum will help us focus on God's challenge to reach others for Him through different types of missions and ministry. Acteens will meet each Wednesday, early evening from 5:15-6:10pm except on the days they go to the food pantry or nursing homes. On these days they will leave the church by 4:45pm. Contact the church office to get a schedule of events for Acteens. We trust you will be interested in participating in this great program while we learn and participate in missions. If you have any further questions please contact Nathan Wood.
